- Be a nice person – but don’t be afraid to be firm
- Focus on communication — bring your questions and be open to their answers
- Be visible – be present and stay up to date on what’s happening

→ Ensure issues/defects will be resolved BEFORE the final payment
→ Make all payments accurately and on time – hold up your end of the bargain
→ Agree on what “done” looks like so you know exactly what is in scope
